After many years working and teaching out of my home studio, I finally decided I need more room to spread out, not just for myself but for my students, and the idea of the The Art Studio was born. I've always loved having my own "space" where I could be creative and get lost in my art for hours... it's my therapy, my escape, my fun, my place for contemplation and growth.....and simply put, a place where I can do what I love to do most... create art.
But I realize that not everyone is equipped to paint at home or likes to work alone, which can be isolating. Painting and getting feedback from fellow artists/students can be tremendously helpful and fulfilling on our journey to develop our skills. My hope is that my students, friends and fellow artists will look at The Art Studio as a place they, too, will consider their personal "space".. a place to come and explore their creativity, learn, grow, share and enjoy the support found when painting alongside friends. I hope you'll think of The Art Studio as Your Studio, too!
